Sinopse

They can pretend to be friends, or even allies of their enemy if that’s what it takes, which may end up in some broken hearts. Still, they only care about their duty. Superior Iron Man #7
Tom Taylor brings the Iron Man of yesteryear to the present day, enlisting the dual artistic talents of Yildiray Cinar and Felipe Watanabe to tell “Superior Iron Man” #7. This tale is one of preparation and contingencies, reaching all the way back to the Iron Man Mark II (or the original red and yellow) armor that has lingered in the pages of this title. The identity behind that mask was tipped at the end of the previous issue but, in “Superior Iron Man” #7, Taylor provides more depth to the character and uses the balance of this issue to get into the philosophical chess match between that character and present-day inverted Tony. Taylor, mercifully, does not leave this issue as a set of talking heads but, instead, sews in action and includes a fight that hurls Mark II Iron Man and the Superior version into space. To finish the issue, Taylor throws in a cliffhanger and reminds readers just how conniving present-day Stark can truly be. The art is a stellar sampling of everything Iron

Superior Iron Man #4
Writer Tom Taylor and artist Yildiray Cinar continue the exploration of the ostentatious Tony Stark in “Superior Iron Man” #4 with an arc titled “The Choice.” Declaring San Francisco a crime free zone, Stark appears on the “Wake Up San Francisco!” talk show, schmoozes the hostess and introduces “Iron Sight,” drones not unlike the Spider-Bots Otto Octavius activated during his tenure as the “superior” Spider-Man. The “superior,” self-righteous Tony Stark lectures Daredevil about high moral ground in a scene that shows just how far Stark has gone from being mostly morally balanced to self-centered and arrogant. Taylor writes Stark as an overly-obnoxious amplification of Robert Downey Jr.’s interpretation of the character. Stark is confrontational, self-serving and pompous. Somehow, through all that, Taylor makes Stark all the more interesting for those qualities. This inversion of Tony Stark just might be the best thing to come out of “Avengers & X-Men: AXIS,” and giving him to Tay

Superior Foes of Spider-Man #17
Writer Nick Spencer and artist Steve Lieber bring about the end of an era in “The Superior Foes of Spider-Man” #17. Featuring a Steve Lieber cover that pays tribute to the post-credit scene from the “Avengers” feature film with a little extra wink and nod thrown in for good humor, this comic book recognizes the good fortune it found throughout this series and celebrates it. “The Superior Foes of Spider-Man” #17 gives readers a chuckle right from the start as Steve Lieber replaces the New York Mets logo on Demang Pendak’s jersey with a comical dismissal. That switch-out is amplified by Rachelle Rosenberg’s adherence to the Mets’ color scheme as this comic continues to hit the same comical notes that have made this series a fan favorite. Behind the scenes breakdowns of Boomerang’s greatest scam are punctuated with callout arrows that slap humor onto the panels, with Mach VII’s civilian identity, a swap of paintings and real latex all getting introductions. Spencer writes “The Superior

Superior Iron Man #1
If Marvel Comics’ “AXIS” event accomplishes nothing else, it’s at least so far succeeded in making Tony Stark a jerk again, as many a Marvel event tends to do. It also succeeds in making Stark the title character of a regular series once more, kicking off with “Superior Iron Man” #1 by Tom Taylor and Yildiray Cinar, where a darker and more opportunistic Shellhead unveils a cruel social and marketing experiment on the entire population of San Francisco. Of course, he’s not always Shellhead anymore, as the ever-vain Tony Stark is as self-loving as ever, using the new Extremis 3.0 to configure a clever new iteration of his armor to allow his adoring public to see his smiling face and wavy locks as desired. Cinar’s design is a perfect extension of both Iron Man’s traditional armor and the events of “AXIS,” enhanced by colorist Guru-eFX with a deceptively simple silver sheen, playing up Stark’s self-presumed role of shining knight to a public he condescendingly perceives as socially undes
