Reader Michael H. wrote in to ask: Way back when in Cable/Deadpool when Gambit was “evil” and part of the Marauders again it is hinted at that Gambit might not have been Gambit or at least that he was being controlled, Cable says something along the lines that he (Gambit) is stressing his accent too much. This was before Secret Invasion, but could it have been possible that Gambit was a skrull? Was Fabian Nicieza hinting towards this future x-over or something else entirely?
