School Rumble

This year's 49th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine revealed on Wednesday that Jin Kobayashi published a one-shot chapter of the School Rumble manga for free in Kodansha's "Magazine Pocket" app on the same day. The one-shot celebrates the app making the entire original manga series available to read for free from Wednesday until August 4, 2018. Kobayashi's School Rumble romantic comedy manga ran in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 2002 to 2008. Kodansha published 22 compiled book volumes for the series. The series inspired two television anime series and two original video anime projects. The manga also received a special chapter in November 2016 that centered on Tsukamoto and Harima, and another special chapter earlier this year in March. Del Rey published part of the series in North America before Kodansha Comics took over publishing duties for the imprint in 2010.
