Sentai Filmworks to release film on BD/DVD on December 5 with English dub Sentai Filmworks announced on Saturday that it will screen the first film in the new Initial D trilogy, New Theatrical Movie Initial D Legend 1: Awakening (Shin Gekijō-ban Initial D Legend 1 -Kakusei-), at the Los Angeles Anime Film Festival (LA-AFF). Sentai Filmworks and LA-AFF haven't yet announced if the screening will be subtitled or dubbed. Sentai Filmworks had announced its license for all three Shin Gekijō-ban Initial D Legend films — including New Theatrical Movie Initial D Legend 2: Racer and New Theatrical Movie Initial D Legend 3: Dream — in July. Like the first film, the release will have both English and Japanese audio.
