Anime segments featuring popular characters to condense history lessons for children This year's 40th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that Fuji TV networks will air a "FNS 27-Jikan TV Nihon no Rekishi" (FNS 27-Hour Japan's History) special on September 9 and 10, which will feature anime segments from One Piece, Dragon Ball Super, Kochikame, and Chibi Maruko-chan. The event will air from September 9 at 6:30 p.m. to September 10 at 9:30 p.m. Preview images for the special in Weekly Shonen Jump feature Kochikame's protagonist Ryō dressed as Sakamoto Ryōma, Maruko from Chibi Maruko-chan dressed in a 12-layer kimono from the Heian Era, Gohan and Trunks from Dragon Ball Super in a rice field during Japan's ancient Yayoi Period, and Luffy from One Piece on a battlefield during the Warring States Era. New theme debuts with show's 1-hour special on October 8 The official website for the five-member rock band Rottengraffty revealed on Friday that the band will perform the new ending theme song for the Dragon Ball Super anime series. The new song is titled "70cm Shihō no Madobe" (By the 70-cm Square Window), and will debut on October 8 with the anime's one-hour special. The song's CD single is slated to ship on October 4. Depending on the retailer, the single will include one of three different Dragon Ball rubber keyholders (Tower Records, Tsutaya, HMV), one of two different signed posters (Village Vanguard, indiesmusic.com), a post card (Amazon.co.jp), or a Dragon Ball sticker (all CD shops nationwide). A one-hour special for One Piece will air on Sunday, October 1 starting at 9:00 a.m. The one-hour special for Dragon Ball Super will air one week later on October 8 at the same time. Singer to say show's "title call" together with Masako Nozawa Enka singer and Dragon Ball Super theme song artist Kiyoshi Hikawa will have a guest voice acting role in the 115th episode of Dragon Ball Super on Sunday. The official website for the anime had announced on October 12 that Hikawa will be playing himself, and will say the show's "title call" together with Goku's voice actress Masako Nozawa. Hikawa will also introduce himself in the show with Goku's signature "Ossu!" greeting. The anime's official website posted images from Hikawa and Nozawa's recording session. Hikawa is performing the show's current opening theme song "Genkai Toppa × Survivor." Dragon Ball Super premiered in Japan in July 2015 on Fuji TV and other channels.
