Anime Series Like Monster Musume

With his parents abroad, Kimihito Kurusu is living the quiet alone life. Or rather, he was until an incompetent interspecies exchange coordinator made him the caretakers of a Lamia named Miia. With a supernatural creature now living in his house, it serves to not only break up his peace, but attract other supernatural beings as well.

This is a fan service show, but not your average fan service show. It makes you feel a little funny because they are not normal girls, but monsters. If you want more anime recommendations like Monster Musume that will help you discover kinks you didn’t know you had, then give these a whirl.

For Fans of Daily Life With Monster Girls

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid

Miss Kobayashi is a programmer that lives alone in her apartment. However, one day a giant green dragons ends up on her doorstep and transforms into a women in a maid outfit. Apparently Kobayashi had gotten drunk one night and ended up saving this dragon. Now, dragon Tooru intends to repay her debt through housework.

If you compare Monster Musume and Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid on a character basis, they are the same show, minus the fan service. In Kobayashi, you have dragons only, but you have a clingy main girl, a cute loli, and an overly stacked sexualized oppai monster all intertwined with your run of the mill main character. Of course, Kobayashi has less fan service and a female main character.

Interviews With Monster Girls

Although not completely common, Ajin, or demi-humans, have become a part of society. High school biology teacher Tetsuo Takahashi is increasingly interested in Ajin for research, but having never met one himself, he let it be. Well, he was going to give up, until he found out that not only are three students in his school demi’s, but a fellow teacher, too. As he sets up interviews with them, Tetsuo finds out that they have both human and demi problems to overcome.

If you liked Monster Musume because of the monster girls and not really for the fan service, then this show is a must. It has a smaller cast of monster girls, but they are not sexualized (except for the Succubus, but that’s mostly for comedy). If you like comedy over fan service, but also like the slice of life vibe, there is something to enjoy here.

Rosario + Vampire

Due to his bad grades, Tsukune Aono was unable to get into any good high schools. However, at the last minute, he was accepted to Youkai Academy. Unfortunately for him, it is a high school for werewolves, vampires, and other monsters. With the help of a vampire and some other new girl friends that take a liking to him, Tsukune tries to hide his human status from his classmates.

These shows are actually pretty similar to each other, but with a select few difference. Rosario + Vampire is a school life show, but like Monster Musume, it involves a normal guy who becomes surrounded by supernatural creatures. The most notable difference is that, while both harem shows, Monster Musume is more ecchi. The girls in Rosario + Vampire are sexualized and flirty, but their bodies are a bit less stacked.

For Fans of Wildly Unchecked Fan Service

High School DxD

Average pervert Issei Hyoudou has done nothing productive with his life save for dreaming of attracting a harem. Things are looking up when a girl asks him on a date, but unfortunately she turns out to be a fallen angel and brutal kills him. However, he gets a second chance at life when a classmate (and devil) revives him to be her servant.

If you sought out Monster Musume and liked it, you would be remiss not to follow it with High School DxD if you haven’t seen it already. Both shows are somewhat legendary in the ecchi genre for being pretty perverted shows with a lot of oppai power. Of course, you get a little more plot and action with High School DxD.

Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid

Mamori is a naive high school girl whose world gets turned upside down when she is kidnapped and stranded on the exotic island of Mermaid. However, she is not alone, joined by fellow castaway Mirei. Unfortunately, Mirei introduces herself by giving Mamori a passionate kiss, thus unlocking her hidden potential and the pair become a battle duo with powers fueled by arousal. Together, they now battle their way across the island.

Although a yuri show, like with Monster Musume, people aren’t watching Valkyrie Drive for the plot. They are watching both shows for the highly sexualized situations and comedy. However, to be fair, Valkyrie Drive does have some fun battles even if the way the powers are activated is a little lewd.

The Testament of Sister New Devil

One day, Basara’s father brings home two beautiful girls and introduces them as his new siblings. However, it isn’t long before he learns that these two girls are actually demons. More specifically, the former demon lord’s only daughter and her succubus servant. Of course, Basara himself is a former member of Heroes, an organization sworn to fight demons. However, after developing feelings for them, he decides to protect his new sisters instead.

While Monster Musume shows off a number of different species, Testament is mostly just angels and demons. However, both shows feature a main character of similar temperament and are about him having to live with strange new girls in his life. Of course, both shows are highly perverted as well, but Testament does have a bit of action to it.

For Fans of An MC Having Their World Turned Upside Down By Strange Women

Sekirei

One day, completely useless college student Minato Sahashi collides with a beautiful girl named Musubi. She is a Sekirei, a powerful humanoid that descended to earth. She is fleeing from two of her own kind and suddenly kisses Minato to awaken her true power. Due to his special genes, Musubi asks Minato to stay by her side and fight in a survival game between the Sekirei. The winner gets to ascend to the higher sky, but the fate of the Earth might just hang in the balance as well.

Monster Musume maintains a distinctly comedy and slice of life vibe throughout where Sekirei is just a touch more action. Furthermore, Sekirei actually makes an attempt to have a plot as well. However, what these two shows have in common is the absolutely boobalicious ecchi harem nature of the show.

To Love Ru

All the timid Rito wants is to confess his love to a girl in class. However, things quickly become complicated when one night a naked girl comes crashing on him while he is in the bath. This girl, as it turns out, is an alien princess on the run and she wants to marry him to avoid a political marriage. Thus begins Rito’s endless days of struggle.

While Monster Musume is almost exclusively monster girls, To Love Ru is an eclectic mix of hot aliens and human girls. However, both shows essentially follow the same formula as a romantic ecchi comedy where their growing harems become increasingly problematic.

Bakemonogatari

After being saved from a vampire attack, high school student Koyomi Araragi finds he has several supernatural side effects. While trying to live a normal life, he ends up catching a classmate after falling down the stairs and finds she is near weightless. Thus begins to his foray into a weird and wonderful world.

Unlike Monster Musume, Bakemonogatari isn’t as upfront with its perversion and has very limited fan service. However, they both feature plots about a guy whose life is changed by the introduction of a series of monster girls into his life. While not ecchi, Bakemonogatari does have a few dirty jokes.
